Bhopal: Students of class 12 of both CBSE and MP Board are hanging in the balance as nothing is clear about their exams. Students are contacting even psychiatrists as they are worried about their career. Exams have been postponed and […]
There is no announcement on the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 so far. It was expected that a decision might be announced on May 17. However, no announcement on the dates was made. Similarly, the School Education Department of Madhya Pradesh too has postponed Class 12 board exams till further notice.
Students who are in the dark about the exams felt that the authorities should take a stand. “May is to end soon. I am afraid of when the exams will be this year. Authorities should understand that by not clearing their stand they are mentally troubling students,” said Nitesh Chaturvedi, a student of class 12.

As the exams have been postponed several times, students said that they are facing several psychological issues. “My father recently took me to a psychiatrist after I was not able to take proper sleep and was also reacting to petty issues. What to do as my entire career is at stake,” said Akhilesh Saxena, a student.
Several students even stopped studying which has turned into a matter of concern for parents. “How to ask my son to study when there is no clarity about the exams. He is a class topper but he has completely stopped looking at the books. His only answer is how much he should study. He has completed this several times,” said Ashish Gurjar, father of a class 12 student.
Students are also worried about the marks. “I have heard that authorities may consider general promotion. It will be a blot on my marksheet forever. I wish to study abroad. How to show my class 12 marksheet when I apply for higher education admission. I do not know what exactly will happen to my career,” said Lucky Mishra, a class 12 students.
Psychiatrist, Dr Satyakant Trivedi said that students should not think about those things which are not in their hands. “Exams, results and ongoing Covid is not in their hands. They should focus on things which are in their hands instead and keep themselves motivated and fit, keeping involved in their routine life and such others,” said Dr Trivedi.
