People with this disease can lead their normal life if they keep your self active.

Patients with type 2 diabetes must take proper care of their diet.

Middle and old-aged people are more prone to type 2 diabetes.

In some cases, children and teens are also seen to be type 2 diabetics.

Hypertension is the most culprit cause of this.

If a person is suffering from hypertension, it is most likely that person will be type 2 diabetic.

This is the most common type of diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes (formerly called non-insulin-dependent, or adult-onset) results from the body’s ineffective use of insulin.

The majority of people with diabetes have type 2 diabetes.

This type of diabetes is largely the result of excess body weight and physical inactivity.

Symptoms may be similar to those of type 1 diabetes but are often less marked.

As a result, the disease may be diagnosed several years after onset, after complications have already arisen.

Symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes

Type 2 diabetes symptoms are as follows:

Excessive feeling of thirst

Blurry vision

Being cranky

Tingling or numbness in your hands or feet

Fatigue/feeling worn out

Wounds that don’t heal

Yeast infections that keep coming back

Feeling hungry

Weight loss without trying

Causes of Type 2 Diabetes

Diabetes is a chronic disease that occurs either when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin or when the body cannot effectively use the insulin it produces. Insulin is a hormone that regulates blood sugar.

Hyperglycaemia, or raised blood sugar, is a common effect of uncontrolled diabetes.

It leads to serious damage to many of the body’s systems, especially the nerves and blood vessels if it is for a long time.

There may be more causes other than elaborated here:

Genes

Scientists have found different bits of DNA that affect how your body makes insulin.

Extra weight

Being overweight or obese can cause insulin resistance, especially if you carry your extra pounds around your middle.

Metabolic syndrome

People with insulin resistance often have a group of conditions including high blood sugar, extra fat around the waist, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol and triglycerides.

Too much glucose from your liver

When your blood sugar is low, your liver makes and sends out glucose.

After you eat, your blood sugar goes up, and your liver will usually slow down and store its glucose for later.

But some people’s livers don’t.

They keep cranking out sugar.

Bad communication between cells

Sometimes, cells send the wrong signals or don’t pick up messages correctly.

When these problems affect how your cells make and use insulin or glucose, a chain reaction can lead to diabetes.

Broken beta cells

If the cells that make insulin send out the wrong amount of insulin at the wrong time, your blood sugar gets thrown off.

High blood sugar can damage these cells, too.

Health Complications in Type 2 Diabetes

Over time, diabetes can damage the heart, blood vessels, eyes, kidneys, and nerves.

a) Adults with diabetes have a two- to three-fold increased risk of heart attacks and strokes.

b) Combined with reduced blood flow, neuropathy (nerve damage) in the feet increases the chance of foot ulcers, infection, and the eventual need for limb amputation.

c) Diabetic retinopathy is an important cause of blindness and occurs as a result of long-term accumulated damage to the small blood vessels in the retina.

Diabetes is the cause of 2.6% of global blindness.

Diabetes is among the leading causes of kidney failure.

Taking proper care of your body is the best way to fight Type 2 Diabetes in long run.

Type 2 Diabetes-related Risk factors

There certain risk factor which can not be ruled out if you are Type 2 diabetic:
